My Background

I was born and raised right here in Anchorage, Alaska.

Always knowing that I would have a career in food, I graduated from California Culinary Academy in 2002 with a Certificate of Baking and Pastry Arts.

After working for Kincaid Grill and L’Aroma Bakery, it was time to start my own company. Superstar Pastry Design began in 2004 and we opened the doors to our retail shop in 2008. With over 900 wedding cakes, 3,200 birthday cakes, and 85,000 cupcakes sold, it’s safe to say that most in Anchorage have had a bite whether they know it or not!

In March of 2013, I married local firefighter Cody Grella and we have three children. Our son, Kain, is a high school senior and enjoys science, math, and physics. Mirielle is 2 and enjoys dancing, our cat, and anything on Nick Jr.  Oliver, our 9 month old, is just learning to crawl and always full of smiles.

To provide more time for my family and more impact in my community, I began my career with New York Life in November of 2013. Since then I have helped hundreds of clients protect and enhance their financial futures.   Helping people is my passion and I’m looking forward to a long career with New York Life.

I am proud to say I have received many awards including New York Life Executive Council (2014 - 2016).
